Here are this week's highlights and totals of the coast of Loreto, Baja California Sur:
Yellowtail - These are some of the best fishing spots
9 miles east of Loreto Alfonso and la Choya reef
Carmen Island on the north side
Punta Lobos and Punta Perico
Coronado Island east side of the light house near of the bait spot
San Bruno reef 14 to 15 miles north of Loreto
Most of the each boat averaged between 6 to 10 yellowtal with only a couple days of slow fishing, average weight was between 22 to 30 pounds.
Here is a picture of the man himself, Loreto's own fishing guru, Arturo Susarrey with a big ol' Dog Snapper:
Way to hog tie that little doggie!
Although, the fisherman were roping in one Yellowtail after another, Cabrilla is the best catch so far this week, and Punta Perico reef is one of the best spots.
Still good Dog Snappers fishing at Lobos Point off Carmen Island. You can troll with live bait close to the beach.
Bait:
Mackerels and Spanish Mackerels, outside of the Coronado light house .
Or you can buy on the bait boat, 10 pieces for 15.00, 15 for 20.00 and 20 for 25 US dollars.
